Why I chose this path

I'm Dr. Devi Raj — Psychologist, certified Life Coach, and the founder of Pranaah Holistic Health Care Pvt Ltd. For over 15 years, I've worked with children, families, parents, couples, and individuals across Kerala and around the world — helping them move from emotional confusion to lasting clarity.

I didn't become a Psychologist because I had all the answers. I became one because I grew up watching people suffer in silence — parents who didn't know how to support their struggling children, couples who drifted apart without knowing why, individuals who felt deeply lost but didn't feel they had anyone to turn to. In Kerala, we are taught to keep our struggles within four walls. I knew, from very early on, that I wanted to change that.

After completing my training in psychology, I founded Pranaah in Kollam in 2013 — with a vision to create Kerala's first truly multidisciplinary centre for psychological wellbeing and child development. What started as a counselling room has grown into two full centres, a global online practice, and a team of dedicated therapists. But the core of my work has never changed: one person, one family, one honest conversation at a time.

"I don't believe therapy should wait for a crisis. I believe the right conversation — at the right moment — can change the entire direction of a life."

Over the years, my work expanded beyond the clinic. I began coaching individuals, parents, and professionals who weren't in crisis — but who knew something needed to shift. That intersection of clinical psychology and transformational life coaching became the foundation of what I now call the N.E.T. Method: a structured, science-backed approach to lasting emotional change.

Neuro-emotional transformation — a different kind of coaching

Most coaching changes behaviour on the surface. The N.E.T. Method works at a deeper level — addressing the neurological and emotional patterns that drive how you think, feel, and act, often without your awareness. Developed through 15 years of clinical practice, it combines neuroscience principles, emotional intelligence frameworks, and practical life coaching strategies into a structured, three-phase process.

What makes the N.E.T. Method different is not just the framework — it's that it is delivered by a clinically trained psychologist. Unlike general coaching, every session is grounded in science, adapted to your unique emotional history, and guided by 15 years of working with real human complexity.

Neuro-Emotional Training

N

Neuro-awareness

Understanding how your brain creates emotional patterns, beliefs, and automatic responses that shape your daily life — often without your knowledge.

E

Emotional rewiring

Using evidence-based tools to interrupt unhelpful emotional patterns and replace them with resilient, healthy emotional responses that last.

T

Transformation in action

Translating inner emotional shifts into real, visible life changes — in relationships, parenting, career, confidence, and daily wellbeing.

My approach — what you can expect

You are the expert on your own life

I never tell people what to do. I help you see yourself clearly — your patterns, your strengths, and your possibilities — so that the decisions you make are genuinely yours.

Culturally rooted, emotionally safe

I understand Kerala's family structures, social expectations, and cultural pressures — joint family dynamics, Gulf migration, academic competition, marriage norms. You don't need to translate your life for me. I already speak that language.

Science, not guesswork

Every strategy I use is grounded in evidence — cognitive behavioural therapy, neuroscience, positive psychology, and developmentally appropriate frameworks. Nothing I do is anecdotal or inspirational fluff.

Goal-focused from the first session

We don't talk indefinitely. We identify what you want to change, set measurable goals, and work systematically toward them — with honest reviews at every stage.

Complete confidentiality, always

Everything you share stays between us. Ethical, professional, and completely private — whether we meet in Kerala or online from anywhere in the world.

A special word for Keralites abroad

I know what it means to carry Kerala in your heart while living far from home. I have worked with hundreds of Malayali families in Dubai, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, US, the UK, and beyond — and I understand the unique emotional weight of NRI life: the loneliness that hides behind success, the parenting guilt, the marriages that strain under distance, the identity questions that come with living between two worlds. My sessions are available online, in Malayalam or English, at timings that suit your Gulf or international schedule. You don't have to face this alone — and you don't have to wait until you're back in Kerala to get support.

Beyond the sessions

Building a culture of emotional health in Kerala

My work doesn't end in the coaching room. As a speaker, I have addressed thousands of students, parents, teachers, and professionals nationally and internationally on topics ranging from adolescent mental health and parenting resilience to emotional intelligence in the workplace. Through my podcast Transformational Thoughts, I bring evidence-based insights on life, emotions, and growth to a wider audience — in a format that feels like a conversation, not a lecture.

As the founder and clinical head of Pranaah Child Development Centre — with campuses in Kollam (Thevally) and Karunagapally — I lead a multidisciplinary team of psychologists, speech therapists, occupational therapists, behaviour therapists, and special educators. Under Pranaah's roof, we serve children from 18 months through adolescence, supporting their development with the same rigour and compassion that guides every aspect of my personal practice.
